A return is a lead you sent back to the vendor. A credit is a return the vendor accepted.

Mark leads by hand

1
Open Leads and choose Leads Log.
2
Tick the leads.
3
In the bar above the table, open Choose field... and pick Return Status.
4
Choose Credited, or Returned - Pending while you wait for the vendor.
5
Press Apply, then Confirm.

To undo a credit, do the same and choose Not Returned.

Bring returns in from the vendor's file

1
Add the vendor's file in Upload Data and press Review mapping.
2
Under Optional, pick the file's column for Return Status, and its reason column for Return Details.
3
Press Import, then Upload & Process.

A cell that says approved, accepted or credited marks the lead credited. Rejected or denied marks it rejected. Any other words mean the return is still waiting.

What a credit changes

  • A credited lead leaves Leads billed, so your conversion rates rise.
  • On Marketing ROI, the vendor's Spend drops by that lead's cost.
  • A returned or rejected lead is still billed.
  • If you typed the vendor's spend for the month yourself, a credit does not lower it. Type the amount you were billed after credits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Producify send the return to the vendor?

No. You file the return with the vendor. Producify records the outcome.

The vendor gave back part of a lead's cost. How do we record that?

Leave the return status alone. Edit the lead and type what it cost you in the end as its net cost.
